Atlético Goianiense

Atlético Clube Goianiense, known as Dragão, is a professional football club founded in 1937 in Goiânia, the capital of Goiás state in central Brazil. The club competes primarily in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B and the Campeonato Goiano, and has had stints in the top-flight Série A. They play home matches at Estádio Antônio Accioly, a compact venue with a capacity of around 12,500 in the Setor Aeroporto neighbourhood of Goiânia. Atlético Goianiense has a passionate local fan base and has been a consistent competitor in the Brazilian football pyramid. The club has developed several players who have gone on to represent larger Brazilian clubs and the national team at youth level. They are one of the most recognisable clubs from Brazil's interior.
