The Brazil national football team, known as the Seleção, is the most successful nation in FIFA World Cup history, having won the tournament a record five times in 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994, and 2002. Governed by the Confederação Brasileira de Futebol, Brazil is the only nation to have participated in every FIFA World Cup since the inaugural 1930 tournament.
