Argentinos Juniors
Argentinos Juniors, officially Club Atlético Argentinos Juniors, was founded in 1904 in the La Paternal neighbourhood of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The club competes in the Liga Profesional Argentina and plays home matches at the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona, which holds 24,380 spectators — a ground renamed in honour of their most famous alumnus. Maradona developed his prodigious talent at Argentinos Juniors before moving to Boca Juniors and then Barcelona. The club won the Argentine Primera División in 1984-85 and also claimed the Copa Libertadores in 1985, their most celebrated continental achievement. They have produced a remarkable number of talented players for Argentine football over the decades, cementing their reputation as one of the country's finest football academies and a club deeply embedded in the cultural identity of Buenos Aires.
