The Albania national football team, controlled by the Football Association of Albania (FSHF), was founded in 1930 and has competed in UEFA competitions since the post-war era. Albania famously qualified for UEFA Euro 2016, their first-ever major international tournament, reaching the group stage in France. They qualified again for UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany, demonstrating continued progress. Based in Tirana, the team plays home matches at Air Albania Stadium. Historically, their greatest UEFA achievement came in 1967 when they won the Balkan Cup. Notable recent players include Armando Broja, Kristjan Asllani, and Klaus Gjasula.
