Wales
The Wales national football team, known as the Dragons, is governed by the Football Association of Wales, one of the oldest football associations in the world, founded in 1876. Wales qualified for the FIFA World Cup in 2022 for the first time since 1958, marking a historic achievement for the nation. The team also reached the semi-finals of UEFA Euro 2016. Led by icons such as Gareth Bale, arguably the greatest Welsh player of all time, and supported by talents like Aaron Ramsey, Joe Allen, and Neco Williams, Wales punched well above its weight internationally. Home matches are played at Cardiff City Stadium and Principality Stadium. Rob Page guided the modern golden generation, and a new era of Welsh football continues to develop.
