Ho Chi Minh City FC was established in 1975 and is based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam's largest and most economically dynamic metropolis. The club competes in the V.League 1 and plays home matches at Thong Nhat Stadium, a historic 20,000-capacity venue that has hosted some of Vietnamese football's most memorable occasions. The club has had periods of top-flight success and is one of the most supported clubs in southern Vietnam, benefiting from the enormous population and passion for football in Ho Chi Minh City.
