Cerro Largo
Cerro Largo Futbol Club was founded in 2002 in Melo, the capital of the Cerro Largo department in northeast Uruguay. Despite being a relatively young club, they have made a significant impact on Uruguayan football, earning promotion to the top-flight Primera Division and establishing themselves as a competitive side. The club plays its home matches at Estadio Municipal Arquitecto Antonio Eleuterio Ubilla, which holds 15,000 spectators. Known for developing local talent from the interior of Uruguay, Cerro Largo has become a symbol of football outside the Montevideo-centric scene. The club has competed in the Uruguayan Primera Division and Copa Sudamericana, representing the interior of Uruguay with pride and regional identity.
