Seattle Sounders FC was founded in 2007 and began MLS play in 2009, quickly becoming one of the league's most successful and supported clubs. Based in Seattle, Washington, the Sounders play their home matches at Lumen Field, which can accommodate over 72,000 fans for soccer, giving them consistently record-breaking MLS attendance figures. The club has won four MLS Cup titles (2016, 2019, 2022, 2023) and multiple Lamar Hunt US Open Cups. They achieved historic continental success by winning the 2022 CONCACAF Champions League, becoming the first MLS club in over a decade to claim that title.
