Galatasaray S.K.

Galatasaray Spor Kulübü, founded in 1905 by student Ali Sami Yen at Galatasaray High School in Istanbul and playing at Rams Park — a 53,798-capacity modern fortress in Seyrantepe — is the only Turkish club ever to win a major UEFA competition. Their extraordinary 1999-2000 season under Fatih Terim produced a historic treble: the Süper Lig, Turkish Cup, and UEFA Cup (defeating Arsenal on penalties in Copenhagen), followed by the UEFA Super Cup victory over Real Madrid. The club has won 24 Süper Lig titles — the most in Turkish football — and legends such as Gheorghe Hagi, Hakan Şükür, and Claudio Taffarel defined their golden generation. In 2023-24 and 2024-25, Galatasaray won back-to-back Süper Lig titles, confirming their status as Turkey's dominant club and a respected name across European football.
