Fenerbahçe SK

Fenerbahçe Spor Kulübü, founded in 1907 in the vibrant Kadıköy district on Istanbul's Asian side and playing at the 50,530-capacity Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium, holds the honour of being the most successful club in Turkish football history with a record 28 national championship titles and a Guinness World Record for the highest total medals across all sports branches. The club has attracted global superstars including Roberto Carlos, Robin van Persie, Mesut Özil, and Alex de Souza — worshipped as a deity by supporters with a statue outside the stadium. The club's stadium hosted the last-ever UEFA Cup final in 2009. In 2024, Fenerbahçe appointed José Mourinho as head coach in a high-profile move, raising ambitions of reclaiming the Süper Lig title after an 11-year absence, though the Portuguese departed in 2025 after finishing second.
