Trinidad and Tobago
The Trinidad and Tobago national football team, known as the Soca Warriors, is governed by the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association. Their greatest achievement came at the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany, where they became only the second Caribbean nation to qualify for the tournament. Guided by Dutch coach Leo Beenhakker and featuring stars like Dwight Yorke and Shaka Hislop, they held Sweden to a draw in a memorable group-stage match. Yorke, who won the UEFA Champions League with Manchester United in 1999, remains the country's most celebrated footballer. T&T has also competed in the CONCACAF Gold Cup. Despite a decline in recent years, Trinidad and Tobago remains one of the Caribbean's most footballing-passionate nations.
