Ruanda
The Rwanda national football team, known as the Amavubi (Wasps), is governed by the Rwanda Football Federation and competes in AFCON qualifiers and FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Football in Rwanda has grown significantly since the 1990s, with the national team making its first Africa Cup of Nations appearance in 2004. The Amavubi have made multiple AFCON qualifying campaigns and have produced notable players such as Meddie Kagere and Djabel Manishimwe. Rwanda has invested heavily in football infrastructure, hosting the 2016 CHAN (African Nations Championship) and constructing modern stadiums in Kigali. The team plays its home matches at Amahoro National Stadium. While yet to qualify for a FIFA World Cup, Rwanda's football development has shown consistent progress under successive coaching regimes.
