The Norway national football team, known as the Golden Age side of the 1990s, is governed by the Norwegian Football Federation. Norway enjoyed its most celebrated era in the 1990s, qualifying for the 1994 and 1998 FIFA World Cups and famously defeating Brazil 2-1 in the 1998 group stage with goals from Tore Andre Flo and Kjetil Rekdal. The late Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Ronny Johnsen, and John Arne Riise were among their notable players. In recent years, the emergence of Erling Haaland has revitalized expectations for the national team. Norway plays home matches at Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo and has been striving to qualify for a major tournament after a prolonged absence from both World Cups and European Championships.
