Cliftonville
Cliftonville FC, founded in 1879 in north Belfast, is the oldest football club in Ireland and one of the oldest in the world. Playing their home matches at Solitude, a compact and atmospheric ground with a capacity of around 5,400, the club competes in the NIFL Premiership. Cliftonville won the league title multiple times, most recently experiencing a resurgence with back-to-back championships in 2013 and 2014 after a long barren period. The club has participated in European qualifying rounds, including the UEFA Europa Conference League, representing Northern Ireland's football on the continental stage.
