Cliftonville
Cliftonville FC, founded in 1879 in north Belfast, is the oldest football club in Ireland and one of the oldest in the world. Playing their home matches at Solitude, a compact and atmospheric ground with a capacity of around 5,400, the club competes in the NIFL Premiership. Cliftonville won the league title multiple times, most recently experiencing a resurgence with back-to-back championships in 2013 and 2014 after a long barren period. The club has participated in European qualifying rounds, including the UEFA Europa Conference League, representing Northern Ireland's football on the continental stage. Known as the Reds, Cliftonville has a passionate supporter base and a commitment to community football, making it a cornerstone of Irish footballing history.
