The New Zealand national football team, nicknamed the All Whites, is governed by New Zealand Football and competes within the OFC (Oceania Football Confederation). Founded in 1891, the team achieved its greatest moment by qualifying for the 1982 and 2010 FIFA World Cups, going unbeaten in three group-stage matches in South Africa in 2010. They have won the OFC Nations Cup multiple times and consistently rank as one of Oceania's top sides. Players such as Ryan Nelsen, Shane Smeltz, and Winston Reid have been influential figures. The All Whites compete at venues across New Zealand, most notably Westpac Stadium in Wellington, and continue to develop local talent while fighting for a coveted World Cup spot every four years.
