FC Volendam is a Dutch football club founded in 1920 in the picturesque fishing village of Volendam, located north of Amsterdam. Competing in the Eredivisie, the club plays at the Kras Stadion. Known affectionately as 'De Trekkers' (The Draggers), Volendam is celebrated for its unique local identity, rooted in the traditional customs and costumes of the historic fishing community. The club is famous for producing technically gifted players and has historically been a breeding ground for talent. Their orange and black colours reflect the vibrant spirit of Volendam. Despite fluctuating between divisions over the years, the club maintains fervent local support and a distinctive footballing philosophy focused on skillful, attacking play.
