FC Twente

FC Twente is a Dutch professional football club founded in 1965 and based in Enschede, in the eastern province of Overijssel, Netherlands. The club plays its home matches at the De Grolsch Veste, one of the finest stadiums in the Netherlands with a capacity of over 30,000. FC Twente reached the pinnacle of Dutch football in 2010, claiming their first and only Eredivisie title. They have also reached the UEFA Europa League group stage and been regular contenders in Dutch cup competitions. Known as De Tukkers, a term referring to the people of the Twente region, the club is deeply embedded in local culture. Twente is known for producing talented players and playing attractive, attacking football that has made them a perennial Eredivisie force.
