The 2000 Scudetto, won on the final day in dramatic circumstances under coach Sven-Göran Eriksson, remains the crowning domestic achievement of a club that also won the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup and UEFA Super Cup in 1999. The talismanic Ciro Immobile, who broke Gerd Müller's single-season Serie A record with 36 goals in 2020, became the club's all-time leading scorer.
