Avellino
US Avellino is an Italian football club founded in 1912 and based in Avellino, the capital of the Avellino province in the Campania region of southern Italy. The club has historically competed in Serie B and Serie C, with their most successful period coming in the 1970s and 1980s when they achieved consecutive Serie B promotions and even briefly competed in Serie A. Known as the Lupi (Wolves), Avellino plays its home matches at the Stadio Partenio-Adriano Lombardi.
