Atalanta

Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio, founded in 1907 and named after the fleet-footed huntress of Greek mythology, play at the New Balance Arena (formerly Gewiss Stadium) in the northern Italian city of Bergamo, with a capacity of approximately 25,000. Under manager Gian Piero Gasperini from 2016, the club transformed from a mid-table Serie A side into one of Europe's most admired teams, qualifying for the Champions League four times in six seasons with their high-scoring, attacking 3-4-2-1 system. In the 2023-24 season they achieved a historic double: their first-ever Scudetto and the UEFA Europa League title, with Ademola Lookman's stunning hat-trick defeating Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 in the Dublin final. Atalanta's story remains one of Italian football's most inspiring examples of vision and collective ambition.
