Waterford
Waterford FC is a football club from Waterford city in the southeast of Ireland, originally founded in 1930. The club plays in the League of Ireland and makes its home at the RSC (Regional Sports Centre), which holds approximately 5,500 supporters. Waterford has a rich footballing history, having won the League of Ireland title six times, most recently in 1986. The club has faced periods of financial difficulty and even dissolution, with the current incarnation reformed to carry forward the city's football tradition. Waterford has been developing youth talent and maintains an important role in the southeast Irish football scene. The club has participated in European competition and continues efforts to consolidate its return to the Premier Division and restore the city's proud football heritage.
