The Haiti national football team, known as Les Grenadiers, is one of the Caribbean's most historically significant sides. Haiti qualified for the FIFA World Cup in 1974, their only appearance, reaching the group stage in West Germany. They have won the Caribbean Cup multiple times and have made numerous CONCACAF Gold Cup appearances. Haiti was once a dominant force in the region during the 1970s, with notable figures like Ernst Jean-Joseph. In recent years, players such as Duckens Nazon and James Léandre have represented the country at various levels. Despite social and political challenges at home, the federation continues to develop youth football, and Les Grenadiers remain a competitive team within the CONCACAF Gold Cup and World Cup qualifying rounds.
