Guinea
The Guinea national football team, known as the Syli Nationale (National Elephants), has represented the country since the 1960s following independence. Based in Conakry and affiliated with CAF, the team has qualified for multiple Africa Cup of Nations tournaments and reached the quarter-finals on several occasions. Guinea produced legendary midfielder Naby Keita, who brought international attention to Guinean football during his career at RB Leipzig and Liverpool. The team also featured Sylla and Camara in formative years. While a World Cup appearance has remained elusive, Guinea remains competitive in African football, drawing from a talented pool of diaspora players based in European leagues who continue to strengthen the squad's depth and quality.
