Preußen Münster
SC Preußen Münster is a professional football club based in Münster, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, founded in 1906. The club plays its home matches at the LVM-Preußenstadion, with a capacity of 18,050. Preußen Münster were a significant force in early German football, winning the national championship in 1951 under the old round-robin system and competing regularly in the top flight during the 1950s and early 1960s. After the formation of the Bundesliga in 1963, the club gradually declined through the divisions. However, they engineered a remarkable comeback in the 2020s, winning the Regionalliga West and earning promotion to the 3. Liga, before clinching the 3. Liga title in 2023-24 to reach the 2. Bundesliga for the first time in four decades, sparking enormous celebrations in Münster.
