1. FC Heidenheim 1846
1. FC Heidenheim 1846 was founded in 1846, making it one of Germany's oldest sports clubs, though its football section developed significantly in later decades. Based in Heidenheim an der Brenz in Baden-Württemberg, the club made its historic Bundesliga debut in the 2023-24 season after years of steady progression through the lower divisions. Heidenheim plays its home matches at the Voith-Arena, a compact stadium situated on a hillside with a capacity of around 15,000 fans. Known as the FCH, the club has become a symbol of ambitious, well-organized football from a small city. Their rise through the ranks under longtime manager Frank Schmidt is celebrated as one of German football's most inspiring stories. Wearing red and blue, Heidenheim represents the beating heart of a passionate community united by football.
