Toulouse
Toulouse FC, founded in 1937, is based in Toulouse, the vibrant pink city of southern France and a major hub for aerospace and culture. Competing in Ligue 1, the club plays at the Stadium de Toulouse, a grand venue that hosted matches during the 1998 FIFA World Cup. Known as the Violets for their distinctive purple kit, Toulouse won the Coupe de France in 1957 and has long represented a key footballing identity in southern France. After years of yo-yoing between divisions, American investment group RedBird Capital Partners acquired the club in 2020, investing significantly and helping Toulouse earn promotion back to Ligue 1 in 2022 and qualify for the Europa League in their very first season back in the top flight.
