AS Saint-Étienne, founded in 1920 and based in Saint-Étienne, France, is one of the most storied clubs in French football history. The club plays its home matches at the iconic Stade Geoffroy-Guichard, nicknamed "Le Chaudron" (The Cauldron), which holds 41,965 spectators. Les Verts are the most successful club in French league history, having won a record ten Ligue 1 titles, predominantly during their legendary 1960s and 1970s golden era.
