FC Metz
Football Club de Metz was founded in 1932 and is based in Metz, a city in the Lorraine region of northeastern France. The club competes in Ligue 1 and plays its home matches at the Stade Saint-Symphorien, a historic ground with a capacity of around 26,000 supporters. Known as les Grenats for their distinctive deep-red, or garnet, colors, Metz has a proud footballing tradition that includes winning the Coupe de France in 1984 and 1988. The club has a strong reputation for producing homegrown talent and has been a regular presence in French top-flight football for much of its history. Metz has experienced several relegations and promotions, always returning with fighting spirit. The club is a source of great pride for the culturally rich border city of Metz and its passionate football community.
