Remo dhidi ya Fluminense

Fluminense made light work of Remo at the Mangueirão, cruising to a 2-0 away victory in Round 5 of the Serie A. John Kennedy opened the scoring in the 16th minute, heading home from a Renê delivery to put the visitors firmly in control. Fluminense dominated possession throughout, holding 63% of the ball and keeping Remo pinned back. A second Flu goal was chalked off for offside before the break, but the pressure eventually told when Agustín Canobbio doubled the lead on 63 minutes, converting a slick pass from Luciano Acosta to kill the contest. Remo showed fight but lacked cutting edge, managing just three shots on target all evening. Patrick de Paula picked up a late yellow card as frustration crept in for the hosts. The result lifts Fluminense to third in the table on 10 points from five games, while Remo remain stuck in 17th with just three points, still searching for their first win of the 2026 campaign.
