Patro Eisden protiv Beerschot VA

A dramatic last-gasp equalizer denied Patro Eisden a deserved home win in the first leg of their Challenger Pro League promotion play-off semi-final. Substitute Ensar Brahic struck in the 90+3rd minute to make it 1-1 at Patrostadion, shattering what had looked like a winning result for the hosts. Jordan Renson gave Patro Eisden the lead in the 18th minute, and for most of the evening they held firm against relentless pressure. Beerschot VA dominated possession, 78% to 22%, and registered 13 shots to Patro's five, including four big chances that came to nothing. But just four minutes after coming off the bench, Brahic converted an assist from Sabri Guendouz to rescue the draw. It's a costly late slip for Patro Eisden, who absorbed enormous pressure only to concede at the death. Beerschot VA, however, head into the second leg on April 27 with an away goal and renewed momentum, keeping their promotion push firmly on track.
