Fluminense protiv Chapecoense-SC

Fluminense secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Chapecoense-SC at the Maracanã on Sunday, with John Kennedy's 86th-minute goal proving the decisive blow in a lively Round 13 encounter. Goalkeeper Anderson kept Chapecoense level through a solid first half with a string of fine saves. Jefferson Savarino broke the deadlock from the spot in the 56th minute, converting after Eduardo Doma's handball during a corner. Ênio leveled with a long-range strike on 78 minutes, but Kennedy restored the lead eight minutes later, meeting an Alisson cross. Deep in stoppage time, Doma earned a red card for arguing, capping a chaotic finale. The three points lift Fluminense to third in the Brasileirão Betano table. For Chapecoense and coach Fábio Matias, it's another painful setback, the visitors remain bottom with just 8 points from 12 games.
