Internacional kundër Fluminense

Internacional were clinical at Beira-Rio, beating Fluminense 2-0 in Round 14 of the Brasileirão Série A despite the visitors dominating possession. The home side made every chance count on a night that breathed new life into their season. Alexandro Bernabéi broke the deadlock in the 38th minute, finishing crisply with his left foot after a slick one-two with Alerrandro on the edge of the area. Alerrandro then made it two just four minutes into the second half, pouncing on a rebound after goalkeeper Fábio had denied a close-range effort. It was a feisty contest, seven yellow cards were distributed across both sides, but no red cards or penalties disrupted Internacional's control. The three points were a huge relief for Internacional, who had been mired in the relegation zone heading into the match. For Fluminense, sitting third and previously on a strong run, it was a sobering stumble in what had looked like a promising title push.
