Getafe vs Malaga

Getafe ground out a narrow 1-0 win over Malaga at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez, with the breakthrough coming only in the closing stages of a tense, low-scoring afternoon. Málaga controlled more of the ball but couldn't turn possession into a finish, leaving the door open for a late Getafe sting. The decisive moment arrived in the 85th minute when Iván Azón raced onto a quick counterattack and slotted home with a right-footed finish after being set up by Martín Satriano. It was the game's only goal, with goalkeepers David Soria and Alfonso Herrero both called into action but neither side finding the net elsewhere. No red cards or penalties were shown, though several yellow cards were dished out on both sides as the physical contest wore on. For Getafe, the win snapped a run without a victory and lifted them up to 17th in the table, a much-needed lift after a shaky start to the campaign. For Malaga, the defeat extended a winless run and left them rooted at the bottom of the standings, with questions mounting over how they turn possession dominance into actual results.
