AC Milan vs Inter Mediolan

AC Milan claimed a famous 1-0 derby victory over Inter at San Siro on Matchday 28, with an unlikely hero stealing the show. Pervis Estupiñán netted his first Rossoneri goal to settle a tense Derby della Madonnina and complete a league double over their city rivals for the first time since 2011. The decisive moment came in the 35th minute. Rafael Leão flicked the ball to Youssouf Fofana, who slipped a perfectly weighted pass to Estupiñán surging down the left. The Ecuadorian wing-back fired a fierce left-footed strike into the top corner, leaving Yann Sommer with no chance. Inter dominated possession but couldn't break down a resolute defence marshalled by Mike Maignan, who earlier denied Henrikh Mkhitaryan one-on-one. A frantic late push saw Pio Esposito miss from a corner before a second effort was waved off. The win cuts Inter's lead at the top of Serie A to seven points with ten matches remaining, keeping AC Milan's slim title hopes flickering heading into the final stretch.
