Carrarese Calcio is an Italian football club founded in 1908 and based in Carrara, a city in the Tuscany region of northern Italy renowned worldwide for its prized white marble. The club plays its home matches at the Stadio dei Marmi, fittingly named after the marble industry that defines the region. Carrarese has historically competed in the lower divisions of Italian football but has made steady progress in recent years, earning promotion to Serie B and competing at a higher level than at any point in their history. Known as the Marmiferi (The Marble Carriers) or the Azzurri (Blues), the club draws its identity from the proud, industrious culture of the Apuan Alps region. Their recent Serie B participation marks an exciting new chapter for this historic Tuscan club.
