Сантос против Флуминенсе

Fluminense completed a dramatic comeback at Vila Belmiro on Sunday, beating Santos 3-2 to leap into second place in the Brasileirão Série A. The decisive blow came in the 85th minute when John Kennedy converted a Guga cross to shatter the home side's hopes and seal a memorable away win. Gabriel Barbosa put the hosts ahead in the 9th minute, finishing off a Neymar pass. Jefferson Savarino levelled on 24 minutes with a stunning long-range strike, and Álvaro Barreal restored the lead just after the break. But Rodrigo Castillo headed in a Guga cross on 59 minutes to make it 2-2. No red cards or penalties, though yellow cards were plentiful on both sides. The result lifts Fluminense to second with 23 points from 12 games, a serious statement of intent. For Santos, rooted in 15th with just 13 points, the night only deepened concerns about a troubled season.
