Villarreal vs Levante

Villarreal brushed aside Levante 3-1 at Estadio de la Cerámica, with Alberto Moleiro the architect of the win, chipping in a goal and two assists to dismantle the visitors' defense. It marked a much-needed home victory as the hosts continue building momentum after a shaky start to the campaign. Ayoze Pérez broke the deadlock in the 41st minute, finishing off a Moleiro assist, but Levante hit back almost immediately through Iván Romero in the 42nd, set up by Jeremy Toljan. The response didn't last: Moleiro restored the lead himself in the 54th minute, and Georges Mikautadze added a third in the 86th to seal it, both goals stemming from Moleiro's creativity. Yellow cards went to Aissa Mandi and Levante boss Luís Castro, plus Tajon Buchanan for the hosts. For Villarreal, the win is a reassuring sign of recovery and a confidence boost at home. Levante, meanwhile, will be frustrated after matching their hosts for a spell before ultimately being outclassed, leaving them still searching for consistency this season.
