Paris FC vs Strasbourg

Paris FC brushed aside Strasbourg 2-1 at the Stade Jean-Bouin, dominating from the first whistle. The visitors barely got a touch in the opening 45 minutes, failing to register a single shot in the first half, and the hosts made the pressure count in emphatic fashion. Ilan Kebbal broke the deadlock in the 18th minute, pouncing on a defensive mix-up and chipping the keeper with a clinical finish. Pablo Pagis doubled the lead in the 57th minute with a stunning half-volley off a quick transition, marking his first goal for the club. Strasbourg pulled one back late through an unfortunate own goal from Moustapha Mbow in the 88th minute, but it was merely a consolation. Adding a subplot, Paris FC boss Liam Rosenior got the better of his former employers. The win stretches Paris FC's unbeaten run to five matches and lifts them to provisional second, just two points off leaders Monaco. For Strasbourg, it's a second straight game without a win and their first defeat of the season, leaving them stuck in sixth heading into the international break.
