Kamprapport

CF Montréal and LA Galaxy shared the points in a wild 2-2 draw at Stade Saputo, with the visitors seeing red before Montreal salvaged a point in the closing stages. The turning point came when Galaxy were reduced to ten men in the second half, setting up a tense finish as the home side chased the equalizer. Daniel Ríos opened the scoring for Montreal in the 16th minute, only for Rubén Ramos to level it four minutes later. Maya Yoshida put Galaxy back in front just after halftime, in the 48th minute. Galaxy goalkeeper James Marcinkowski was then sent off in the 68th minute, and Montreal made the man advantage count when Prince Osei Owusu struck in the 79th minute to make it 2-2. Yellow cards were also shown to Brandan Craig and Brayan Ceballos. The draw does little to lift either side out of the bottom half of their conference standings, but Montreal will feel it's the better result given they had to fight back from behind twice. For Galaxy, the red card overshadowed a promising performance and leaves them still searching for the win that could kickstart their season.
