Colorado Rapids tore apart ten-man LA Galaxy in a ruthless second-half display, winning 4-1 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park to hand the visitors their first defeat of the 2026 MLS season. Rafael Navarro, wearing the captain's armband for the first time, delivered the knockout blows with a late brace.
Darren Yapi opened the scoring in the 23rd minute before João Klauss equalized for the Galaxy on 56 minutes — his third goal in as many games. But the match turned just four minutes later when Gabriel Pec was shown a second yellow card in the 60th minute, reducing the visitors to ten men.
Colorado pounced on the numerical advantage. Alexis Manyoma restored the lead in the 76th minute with his first Rapids goal, before Navarro sealed the rout with finishes in the 85th and 89th minutes — his first goals of the campaign.
The win lifts Colorado to six points from three games, while LA Galaxy drop to four points after a chastening night in Commerce City.
