Hibernian vs Livingston

Hibernian were held to a goalless draw by bottom-of-the-table Livingston at Easter Road on Saturday, in a result that will leave the home support scratching their heads. The hosts came into the match as overwhelming favourites but simply could not find a way through a resolute Lions defence. Livingston boss Marvin Bartley returned to his former club and masterminded a backs-to-the-wall display. The visitors, who have managed just one league win all season, extended their unbeaten run to four games with another dogged defensive effort. The point does little for Hibernian's hopes of closing the six-point gap to fourth-placed Motherwell, leaving them fifth on 47 points. For Livingston, every point counts in their survival fight — but they remain rooted to the bottom on 15 points, six adrift of Kilmarnock with the split fast approaching.
