Mito Hollyhock vs Urawa Reds

Urawa Reds won 1-0 at Mito on Saturday with a header in the fourth minute of stoppage time, after playing against ten men for more than 80 minutes. Taishi Semba was sent off early in the first half. The referee went to the pitch monitor and decided he had stood on the shin of Itsuki Seko as the Urawa midfielder slid to pass. Urawa had 17 shots before the break and still did not score. Hiiro Komori hit the left post with a header in the 15th minute, and Mateus Savio struck the same post with a volley in first-half stoppage time. Mito did not manage a shot until the 82nd minute, when Keisuke Tada forced a save from Shusaku Nishikawa. Then Sasa, a substitute, headed in a cross from the right in the 94th minute for his first J1 goal. It was Mito's fourth defeat in a row. Both sides play again on 21 October: Urawa at home to JEF United Chiba, Mito away at Fagiano Okayama.
