Internacional vs Vasco da Gama

Internacional dismantled Vasco da Gama 4-1 at Beira-Rio on Saturday, with Johan Carbonero orchestrating the rout with two goals and two assists in a commanding Brasileirão display. A Mercado header at 10' was chalked off by VAR for offside, but Inter pressed on without flinching: Carbonero opened the scoring at 21', then Alerrandro made it two at 24'. After the break, Alexander Bernabei added a third at 62' and Carbonero sealed his brace at 71'. Andrés Gómez netted a late consolation for Vasco at 85', before Cuesta made a wretched evening complete by collecting a straight red card in stoppage time for a reckless foul on Allex. The victory fires Internacional from 14th to 8th on 21 points, seven games now without defeat, while Vasco, with one eye clearly on Copa Sudamericana, drop to 11th and see their five-game unbeaten run come to an abrupt end.
