Match Report
Zachariassen's two goals leave Plzen without a point in Europa League
Ferencvaros beat Viktoria Plzen 2-1 in Budapest on Thursday night, and Kristoffer Zachariassen scored both of their goals. Plzen are still waiting for their first point in this season's Europa League.
The first half finished goalless. Zachariassen broke the deadlock four minutes after the restart (49), and he got his second from the penalty spot in the 81st minute to put the hosts 2-0 ahead.
Plzen changed things from the bench and it paid off late on. Denis Visinsky came on in the 78th minute and scored in the 90th to make it 2-1, but there was not enough time left to find an equaliser. Three Ferencvaros players, Osvath, Raemaekers and Maiga, went into the book, as did Cerv and coach Kovac on the Plzen side.
The defeat follows a 3-0 home loss to Union Saint-Gilloise in Plzen's opening match, so they have played two and lost both. Ferencvaros collected three points in their second league-phase game.
