Match Report
Spain eased to a comfortable 3-0 victory over Serbia at the Estadio de la Cerámica in Villarreal, with Mikel Oyarzabal stealing the show with a first-half brace. Luis de la Fuente's side looked sharp from the off as they fine-tuned their preparations ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
Oyarzabal opened the scoring on 16 minutes after being played in by Fermín López, before doubling the lead just before half-time (43') with a stunning strike from the edge of the box following a pinpoint pass from Pau Cubarsí. Debutant Víctor Muñoz then wrapped things up with a composed right-footed finish in the 72nd minute to cap a dominant display.
The convincing win will have pleased De la Fuente as Spain continue to build momentum heading into a home World Cup this summer. For Serbia, it was a sobering evening in Villarreal with plenty of work still to do before the tournament kicks off.
