Portugal Downs Denmark Despite Ronaldo Walkout Drama
Portugal shrugged off a self-made storm in Copenhagen, beating Denmark 4-2 a day after Cristiano Ronaldo walked out of camp over being benched again. Jorge Jesus's side proved they don't need their record scorer, pulling away twice from a determined Danish side.
Joao Cancelo opened the scoring in the 10th minute off a Goncalo Ramos through ball. Mikkel Damsgaard levelled with a thumping strike in the 25th, only for Ramos to restore the lead a minute later. Rasmus Hojlund chipped home to make it 2-2 in the 55th, busting out Ronaldo's own Siu celebration, before Vitinha headed in a Bruno Fernandes cross in the 70th and Joao Felix sealed it in the 90th. Late yellow cards went to Daramy and Ruben Neves, with no reds or penalties.
The win extends Jesus's unbeaten start, with Norway up next at home. Denmark, who held more possession but couldn't make it count, head to Wales knowing their defense needs fixing.
