Al Diriyah vs Al Taawon

Al Diriyah and Al Taawon finished 1-1 at Al-Awwal Park in Riyadh, and the home side will feel they let a win go when a penalty came and went in the 79th minute. Clayton Diandy put Al Diriyah in front five minutes after the break, finishing from an Oscar assist. Diandy had been booked in the 22nd minute, so he played the rest of the game on a yellow card. Al Taawon levelled in the 66th minute through Abderazak Hamdallah, who scored from a Mohammed Al Kuwaykibi assist. The game was a physical one. E. Millot and Hussain Al-Sibyani were also cautioned for the hosts, and Fares Al Ghamdi picked up a yellow for the visitors in the 74th minute. Five minutes later Darwin Nunez stepped up for Al Diriyah from the penalty spot and failed to score. That miss left it at one point each. Al Diriyah had lost 3-0 at Al Nassr the previous week, so they at least stopped that slide.
