멕시코 vs 페루

Mexico and Peru shared the points in a physical, entertaining friendly in New Jersey, with a spectacular equalizing header providing the standout moment of the night. Peru pressed aggressively from the opening whistle and looked the sharper side for long stretches, while Mexico needed time to settle before finding their rhythm. Peru struck first when Jairo Velez pounced on a defensive mistake to finish coolly in the 26th minute. Mexico hit back early in the second half, as Victor Guzman rose to meet a delivery from Denzell Garcia and headed home the equalizer around the 49th minute. No red cards or penalties were shown, though both benches used their substitutions freely to manage fatigue. For Mexico, under new coach Rafa Marquez, the draw marks back-to-back stalemates after a similar result against Colombia, showing steady if unspectacular progress. Peru will be encouraged by their bright start after a heavier 4-1 defeat to the United States, though they'll rue not converting their early dominance into a win.
