인데펜디엔테 델 바예 vs UCV

Independiente del Valle came from behind to beat Universidad Central 3–1 in a fiery Copa Libertadores Group H encounter. Carlos Gabriel González starred with a brace to power the Ecuadorian side to a commanding home victory. Jovanny Bolívar gave the visitors a surprise lead at the 20-minute mark, but Jordy Alcívar restored parity with a header just before the break (43'). A foul on Mateo Carabajal resulted in a 46th-minute penalty; the goalkeeper parried González's spot-kick, but he was quickest to the rebound and converted (49'). He then powered in a header at 62' to seal it. Juan Viacava saw red at 76' for a professional foul, a late blemish on an otherwise dominant display. The result sends Independiente del Valle to the summit of Group H with four points from two outings. Universidad Central must regroup quickly to keep their knockout hopes alive.
